Thrake/南東ヨーロッパの銀製装身具セット
後期鉄器時代、おそらく紀元前2–1世紀
Thrakiー南東欧文化圏の後期鉄器時代に属する、際立って結びつきのある大型銀製装身具の対。各品は、螺旋状に巻かれた端部を持つ銀線製の頸環（吊り輪）から成り、その後ろには叩製銀板からなる大きな、ほぼ三角形あるいは斧形をした主 pendentive がある。その下端には、それぞれ二つの自由に動く三角形の銀板が小さな金属線環にぶら下がっている。主 pendentive の表側には、細かく刻まれた浮彫と打刻装飾が施されている。幾何学的な線模様、点状の装飾、円形または太陽形のシンボルが見て取れる。こうした抽象的な符号は、しばしば守護、豊穣、太陽信仰と結び付けて語られるが、現時点でその正確な意味を特定することは困難である。
この品は非常に大きいことから、代表的なイヤリング、こめかみの飾り、あるいはより豪華な頭飾りの構成部品として身につけられていた可能性がある。動く下部の板は、身につける際に視覚的にも聴覚的にも効果を生んだ。
