構い直された古代ローマ時代の濃い青色ガラスビーズのネックレス。上半分は小さな円形のビーズで構成され、残りは大きな円形および不規則な形状のビーズへと発展します。中央部は三つの大きなビーズを三段に重ねた中心部が形成されます：球形の一粒、半球形の一粒、そして長楕円形の一粒。各ビーズは独自の形状・色調・透明度を示し、古美術的で手作りの風合いを reflect しています。ネックレスは糸に通しており、現代的な金メッキの留め金で仕上げられています。年齢に応じた使用痕（欠けや地質的な沈着物など）が見られます。
このようなネックレスは、ローマ帝国全体でガラス装飾品の人気を示しています。古代ローマにおけるガラスの大量生産は、ガラス宝飾品の発展を促しました。ガラスの ageing（熟成）プロセスは、ローマングラス宝飾品に独特の品質を与えます。例えば、ガラスに組み込まれた不純物が、周囲の環境に thousands of years（何千年）かけて曝露されることで、美しい光沢と斑点を生み出し、かつては透明だったガラスがそうでなくなることがあります。ラピスラズリは古代世界で高く評価されてきました。この美しく鮮やかな深い青石の最初の使用は、新石器時代にまでさかのぼり、地中海と南アジアへと採掘・輸出されました。
