Die Skulptur aus Basalt verbindet die archaische Kraft des Natursteins mit einer präzisen, zeitgenössischen Formensprache. Aus dem ursprünglich belassenen Block entwickeln sich tief eingeschnittene, polierte Hohlformen, die sich über mehrere Seiten miteinander verweben und ein spannungsreiches Gefüge aus Licht, Schatten und Reflexion entstehen lassen. Die raue Naturhaut bleibt als Gegenpol erhalten und betont den Dialog zwischen unbearbeiteter Materie und handwerklicher Intervention. Mit ihren kompakten Maßen von 37 × 12 × 12 cm entfaltet die Arbeit eine überraschend starke räumliche Präsenz und verändert ihren Ausdruck mit jedem Blickwinkel.
