鮮やかなオレンジ色の硬質石ビーズで構成された、西アジア地域のネックレスを糸を通して再装着したものです。ネックレス本体は丸みを帯びたビーズと球状ビーズからなり、ほぼ均一な大きさです。二つの大きなビーズを積み重ねたセンターピースがあり、その先端は小さなフープビーズとなっていて、そこを通してネックレスが通されます。各ビーズは独自の形と色調を示し、古美と手作りの性質を反映しています。年齢に伴う欠けや摩耗が見られます。なお、このネックレスは留具を持たず、糸で通されています。
宝飾品は歴史の中で最も古い芸術形態の一つと考えられており、指輪・バングル・ネックレスがほぼすべての古代社会に存在していました。多くの偉大な文明が古代の西アジア地域を拠点としており、洗練された宝飾技術を通じて彼らの富と繁栄が示されています。瑪瑙、ラピスラズリ、カーネリアンのような貴石・半貴石はもちろん、ガラス・サンゴ・石・金属も広く用いられました。
寸法：（概算）半長さ36cm、ビーズ半長さ21cm
来歴：元日本の私蔵コレクション、故人、1970-2010。
