この優雅に磨かれた燧石の斧は、サハラ砂漠のニジェールにあるテンネレ地域出身で、豊かな先史的遺産を有する地域です。この種の斧は、同地を居住していた初期の砂漠文化と結びつけられ、トゥアレグ時代以前の文化と結び付けて語られることが多いです。特徴は高度な職人技、丁寧な磨き、機能的でありながら象徴的でもある調和の取れた形状です。世界で最も象徴的な砂漠地帯のひとつからの、 authentic（ authentic）で美的な逸品です。
2019年、ユトレヒトで開催されたコレクター向けの年次市でコレクターから購入しました。以来、私自身のコレクションに加えています。
