緑色のガラス玉からなる、再糸通しされた古代ローマ時代の首飾り。首飾りの本体は、小さな筒状ビーズと大きな筒状ビーズが交互に並んでいる。中心部は、三つのビーズを積み重ねたもので、丸みを帯びたビーズ、大きな筒状ビーズ、そして不規則な尖頭のビーズから成る。それぞれのガラス玉は独特の形状・色調・透明感を示し、そのアンティークで手工制作の性質を物語っている。 この作品は現代の金メッキ製の留め具で仕上げられている。留め具は専門家によって結び付けられてはいませんのでご留意ください。
このような首飾りは、ローマ帝国内でガラス装飾品が広く好まれていたことを物語っています。古代ローマにおけるガラスの大量生産は、ガラス製のジュエリーの発展を促しました。ガラスの経年過程は、ローマ時代のガラス製ジュエリーに独自の特質を与えます。例えば、ガラスの中に混入した不純物が何千年にもわたって周囲の環境に曝されることで、美しい光沢や斑点が生じ、元は透明だったかもしれなかったガラスが変化します。
寸法：概算 半長さ 25cm
