19世紀オスマン帝国の大型ビチャクナイフ、鋳鉄風の鋼と刻まれた真鍮ハンドル、木製鞘を伴う
Description
19世紀に遡る大型のオスマン帝国製ビチャクナイフで、全長約39 cmのサイズです。
長く直線的な刃は鋼製で、穏やかに湾曲したプロフィールと尖頭部を有します。握持部付近の断面には手彫りの直線模様とオマリデコレーションが施され、背には二つの小さな切缺が見られます。
成形された真鍮の柄は、繰り返される幾何学的および直線的装飾で豊かに彫刻され、広く広がる pommel（笠状金具）で終わります。真鍮のハンドルの片側には経年による亀裂が目視できます。
ナイフには元の細長い木製鞘が付属しており、暗色の金属帯、金属先端、吊り下げ用リングが装着されています。木製鞘には著しい経年変化による割れ、継ぎ目の開き、表面の摩耗・欠損があり、写真からも明らかに確認できます。刃の鋼材には酸化と表面腐食の跡があり、経年と一致しています。
