Pre-Columbian Nazca culture.
Southern coastal desert area - Peru.
Early Nazca ceramic bowl.
Finely made from reddish-brown pottery with a slightly flaring wall.
The exterior is decorated with a continuous geometric band in dark grey/black, white and red, featuring lozenge (diamond) motifs with knot-like elements, characteristic of early Nazca abstract design.
The interior is left plain in a warm terracotta tone.
Condition: restored, with visible age-related wear
Time period: Ca. 100 BC - 250 AD
Dimensions: 16 cm diameter - cm high
Provenance: purchased at a German auction - with German export license already present
