ティグラネス2世「偉大なる者」(紀元前95年–紀元前56年)の治世下に鋳造された、古代アルメニア王国の最も重要な支配者のひとりであり、王国の最大の領土拡張を築いた銅貨を模した非常に情感豊かなブロンズ貨幣ペンダント。後に吊り下げ用に改作され、ヘレニズム期アルメニア貨幣の歴史的重要性と、古代貨幣ジュエリーの装飾性を併せ持つ作品となっている。
表側にはティグラネス2世の横顔の肖像が、後期ヘレニズム期のアルメニア royal coinage の独特の表現法で描かれている。裏側には立像のモチーフが描かれているようで、古代アルメニア銅貨に見られる象徴的・王朝的なイメージと一致している。時の経過と流通の影響で若干柔らかくはなっているが、暗い緋銅色の緑青と不規則な古代の鋳型によって、強い考古学的存在感を保っている。
