マダガスカル産のクリオニケラスの標本を正面から研磨して、腔の内部構造と読み取りやすい継ぎ目のラインを際立たせている。渦巻は幅広く調和がとれており、中央のへこみがはっきりと定義され、区画分割も規則的である。
特に真珠母層の保存状態が興味深く、原始的なアルガノサイトの一部がまだ見える部分があり、絹のような反射と、クリーム色から蜂蜜色へ、わずかなオパール様の色調の変化を生み出している。
縁には自然な未研磨の部分が残っており、殻の元々の形態との結びつきを保っている。
