Bronze spearhead with rat-tail tang from the Greco-Asiatic Period (circa 1st Millennium BC), featuring a leaf-shaped blade with a raised central midrib and a cylindrical stem with parallel diagonal grooves, about 29 cm long by 3.1 cm wide, in good condition with patina and surface encrustations; acquired in 2000 from a private collection with provenance Ex London Collection; authentic original.

東地中海東部の美しい青銅製槍頭で、葉形の刃が先端へと細くなり、 rat-tail tang（尾状の柄）を有します。刃には上向きに広がる肩部と中央の隆起した中脈が特徴で、それに連なる円筒状の柄には平行な斜文溝が装飾として刻まれています。正方形断面の柄は曲がった柄頭へと発展し、平らな先端部を持つフィナーレに相当する形状で、 rat-tail tang として知られます。表面には美しい緑青と地衣類の付着が見られます。刃と柄の縁の欠け、表面の微細な点刻、傷など、年相応の摩耗の痕跡があります。
