Mashikoの国際的に最も展示されてきたスタジオ陶芸家の一人が手掛けた、オリベの浅く光沢のある味わいを持つ小さな酒器瓶です。
石灰釉で成形され、高内の署名オリベ釉で仕上げられたこの小さな徳利は、 faceted な手彫りの表面に深くむらのある緑が不均一に走り、縁には暖かい黄土色と鉄のトーンが透けています。 不規則なファセットがボディ全体に光を受け止め、控えめなサイズにもかかわらず力強い彫刻的存在感を放ちます。これは高内のスタジオ作品の特徴であり、ヴィクトリア＆アルバート美術館からパリやデンマークの美術館まで、国際的に展示されています。
【作家プロフィール】
高内修吾（1937年生）は、東京生まれのスタジオ陶芸家で、1968年に栃木県益子で窯を開きました。彼の作品は日本伝統工芸展、日本陶芸展に選ばれ、ロンドンのヴィクトリア＆アルバート博物館、フランスのヴァロリス国際ビエンナーレ、デンマークやパリの美術館など、国外でも展示されてきました。作品は日本の主要機関のコレクションにも所蔵されています（東京国立近代美術館など）。
