この勲章は、ソビエト連邦最高会議 Presidium の令によって1947年9月10日に制定された。勲章に関する規則は、同最高会議 Presidium の1951年6月23日の決議によって補足された。
裏面には二行の文字で「IL LAVORO IN URSS È UNA QUESTIONE D'ONORE」と刻まれている。その上には鎌とハンマーの浮き彫りの図案がある。
1995年1月1日以降、約46,350人が「Per il restauro delle miniere di carbone del Donbass」勲章を受章した。）

La medaglia è stata istituita dal decreto del Presidium del Soviet Supremo dell'URSS il 10 settembre 1947. Il regolamento sulla medaglia è stato integrato dalla risoluzione del Presidium del Soviet Supremo dell'URSS del 23 giugno 1951.
Sul retro della medaglia in due righe c'è l'iscrizione "IL LAVORO IN URSS È UNA QUESTIONE D'ONORE". Sopra l'iscrizione c'è un'immagine in rilievo di una falce e di un martello.
A partire dal 1° gennaio 1995, circa 46.350 persone hanno ricevuto la medaglia "Per il restauro delle miniere di carbone del Donbass".
