細工の施された古代ギリシャの青銅の鉢で、半球形、基底部は平ら。やや膨らんだ壁は上向きに傾斜し、厚く補強された口縁へと広がる。緑青と地衣の付着が表面に見られる。内外の表面には傷など、年齢相応の使用痕がある。
器は古代ギリシャでさまざまな形状と素材で作られ、例えば青銅（本例のようなもの）、陶器、ガラス、石、木材などがあった。葬送用、奉納用、薬用、家庭用の洗浄器具や、酒・油・水・化粧品を入れる器として用いられた。銅を主成分とする青銅は、錫を含み、時には鉛を含む合金で、銀・金よりも安価であった。そのため、多くの青銅器が墳墓や墓地に埋もれて現存している。
寸法（おおよそ）：直径15.5 cm × 高さ4 cm
来歴：1980年〜2015年に取得。 Abelita家コレクションより。
