Splendid Art Deco ceramic baluster vase from the famous Belgian manufacturer La Céramique Montoise in Mons, founded by master ceramicist Antoine Dubois. This period piece, dating from the 1920s-1930s, features the rare matte decor referenced "MEX," characterized by a beautifully mottled and textured background with sand and bluish tones. The main design, entirely hand-painted, showcases a superb Japanese-inspired scene depicting two stylized herons or wading birds moving among flowering branches, all enhanced by touches of glossy azure blue, orange, and purple enamel that create a striking contrast with the item's matte surface (guaranteeing that your floral arrangements will always have excellent company).
