この灰黒土器の灰色陶器で作られた一組の埋葬用ミンギ（陪葬品）は、角ばった池形の器と、別々に成形された二羽の鴨から成り、漢代に典型的な牧場景色としての水産養殖と家禽飼育の牧歌的情景を生き生きと捉えています。池は先細りの斗形で、内壁と底には泳ぐ魚とハゼが上へ這い上がる様子の粘土浮彫が施され、縁の周りには水生生物が休む様子が補足的に描かれています。二羽の鴨は丸みを帯びた太い体つきをもち、羽毛は細かい十文字状の刻線で表現されており、一方は首を立てた警戒姿勢、もう一方は前傾しています。腹の下に小さな支えがあり、池の中で独立して立つことができます。表面には長い年月を経て風化した深い痕があり、天然の黄褐色の土壌の層が厚く斑状に覆い、長い間に蓄積した暗色の錆着が見られます。縁は柔らかく丸められ、長期的な地下水の作用によってわずかに侵食され、乾燥して熟成した土器の胴体が露出しています。この作品は、華美を避けつつも生き生きとした芸術言語を示しており、古代の農耕生活の静かな記念性と歴史的風合いを伝えています。
