Very nice large compass by Henry Browne & Son (Sestrel), with a brass housing, wooden stand and an oval viewing glass, dating to about 1950–1960, dimensions 51 cm high, 35 cm wide, 20 cm deep, weight 5.6 kg, and featuring oil lamp illumination on one side and battery lighting on the other, with the Sestrel mark on the front plate and the works still functioning.
