口縁が広く広がるベテル嚼み用の唾壺

高さ：9 cm 口縁直径：13 cm
落ち着いたプロポーションと力強いシルエットが特徴のブロンズ鋳造のミニチュア容器は、ロップブリ/バイヨン時代の高級家具に典型的です。
本体は球形または bulbous な形状を強く平らにしたもので、肩部と底部には連続する二重の環状切込が一列ずつ刻まれており、端正で規則的です。首部への移行は著しい凹形の絞りで特徴づけられ、非常に広い口縁へと劇的に開き、細く鋭い縁で終わります。底部は平らで、周囲に小さな円形の台を伴い、完璧な安定性を保証します。
この特定の形状の壺は伝統的に啜器（ベテル嚼み用）として識別され、嚼唾の際の唾壺や儀礼用材料を供する供物容器として用いられました。中世クメール文化において、ベテル儀礼は社会生活・外交・宗教の主要な儀式のすべてに伴われてきました。
保存状態：
考古学的に極めて良好な保存状態。ブロンズ構造は健全ですが、口縁の一部に若干の変形を認めます。表面には美しい経年銅鏡皮（ブロンズの皮） patina が発達しており、場所によっては銅の碳酸塩（マラカイト）の微細な結晶が淡く付着しています。製作時の紋路や鋳造痕は極めて読み取りやすい状態です。
