プレ・コロンブス期ラモチェ / 初期シカン（ランバイエケ）海洋 Vessel with Monkey － ペルー。
北ペルー産の稀少で非常に珍しいプレ・コロンブス期の陶器器物。遷移期のラモチェ末期から初期シカン（ランバイエケ）文化に attributed。
甑体は球形の胴体を持ち、透孔付きの台座の上に設置され、両側に2体の猿が体を成形した立体装飾を伴う広い筒形の口部を備える。胴部は型抜き浮彫で装飾され、漁師を中心とする海洋生物・魚・エイ・その他の海の生き物を描く複雑な海事情景を示している。
このような海洋モチーフは、古代ペルー北海岸地域の儀礼・経済生活における太平洋の重要性を反映している。
特に注目すべき特徴は、中空の台座基部で、機能的なラトル機構を保持している点である。動かすと音を発し、儀式的な容器としてだけでなく、宗教儀礼や葬送儀礼で用いられる音響的な儀式物としても機能した可能性を示す。台座の透孔は音響的な効果だけでなく視覚的な効果も高めている。
状態：全体的には欠損・欠けの小さな部位や rim 周辺を中心に経年劣化・表面のこしょう・微小な欠損を伴うが、概ね良好。
