Grand coffret de trésorerie en bois d'une belle densité, originaire d'Inde et datant du XVIIIe siècle.

* Analyse des fixations (Couvercle) : Les charnières de fer à l'arrière sont d'origine. Notez une superbe particularité de collection : suite à une usure liée aux manipulations d'époque, les attaches supérieures du couvercle ont fait l'objet d'une réparation historique fonctionnelle au XIXe siècle (période coloniale de la Compagnie anglaise des Indes), consolidées par trois vis métalliques à fente d'époque.
Cette intervention "dans son jus" témoigne de sa longue utilisation active.

* Homogeneous 18th C. Structure: The main wooden body, wrought-iron bands, and dome-headed hammered rivets are entirely authentic and original from the 18th century.
* Historical Back-Repair (Lid): The iron hinges themselves are original. As an expert collector's detail, the upper lid attachments underwent an authentic 19th-century functional repair during the British East India Company colonial era, resecured using three period-correct slotted metal screws. This historical "in-its-juice" restoration adds to the genuine background of the piece.
* Unique Collector Features: Features an antique inventory label still attached inside the lid. Original functional front latch (designed for a traditional padlock).
