Description:
I am selling ASTRA monocular optical microscope, a classic collectible teaching model, manufactured in the 1970s–1980s. The device is made entirely of metal (robust black cast iron body) and is in excellent aesthetic and structural condition, being very well preserved.
It is an ideal piece both for collectors, passionate about vintage technical objects, and for children or students who want to discover the world of microscopy with an authentic and resistant device.
Specifications and technical features:
Total possible magnifications: 100X, 150X, 200X, 300X, 400X, 600X (clearly marked on the optical tube).
Eyepieces included: Two removable eyepieces of 10X and 15X, mounted on a double support.
Objectives: Rotating turret with 3 metal objectives.
Dual illumination system (Hybrid):
Adjustable plano-concave mirror for natural/external light.
Original built-in electrical system with low-voltage flashlight bulb, operated by a mechanical rod-type switch (requires compatible batteries or modern adaptation to external terminals).
Mechanics: Functional macro/micrometric adjustment system (curse line), massive joint that allows the microscope to be tilted for comfortable use.
