Offered is this iconic Apple Power Macintosh G3 Desktop, introduced in 1997 and remembered as one of the computers that helped redefine Macintosh performance during the late 1990s.

Powered by the PowerPC G3 processor, these machines quickly earned a reputation for their impressive speed and reliability, becoming a favourite among graphic designers, educational institutions and publishing professionals. Today, the beige G3 has become a sought-after collector's item, representing Apple's final generation of classic beige desktops before the arrival of the colourful iMac.

// Condition
– The computer powers on and boots correctly into Mac OS 9.2.
– The floppy drive operates as expected.
– The internal CD-ROM drive, ZIP drive and USB card are currently not detected by the operating system. Since I own another identical G3, I have chosen not to spend additional time troubleshooting the issue, and therefore this Macintosh is offered as-is.The problem may simply be software-related (missing drivers) or caused by the well-known configuration issue where the CD-ROM and ZIP drive share the same IDE cable with incorrect master/slave settings. Determining the exact cause is left to the new owner, making this an interesting and straightforward project for an Apple enthusiast.

// Cosmetic condition
Please study the photographs carefully.
– The case shows the typical age-related bromine yellowing (patina) common to many vintage Apple computers.
– The discoloration is uneven, which is entirely normal for plastics of this age.
– One of the front plastic bezels covering the drive bays is missing. Fortunately, replacement bezels are still available through dedicated vintage Apple collectors and specialist websites.

Despite these cosmetic imperfections, the computer remains an honest and complete example of Apple's legendary beige G3 series.

– Vintage Macintosh computers are now almost 30 years old. The plastics have naturally become more brittle over time and should always be handled with appropriate care, particularly when opening the case.
