Description

Silent Transmission is a unique abstract work created with moulding plaster and acrylic paint.

The composition is built around two simplified mechanical forms that suggest two gear wheels meeting at the center. Their repeated vertical elements appear structured and controlled, while the point where they connect introduces a quiet sense of movement and exchange.

Although the image refers to machinery, the work itself is completely still. This contrast gives the piece its title: a transmission of force, rhythm or information taking place without sound.

The deep blue surface creates a calm visual field, while the lighter forms bring order and repetition to the composition. Subtle differences in width, texture and finish preserve the handmade character of the work and prevent the geometry from feeling mechanical or perfectly uniform.

Moulding plaster gives the surface a physical presence that changes slightly with the light. From a distance, the composition appears clear and minimal. Up close, the texture, small irregularities and traces of the making process become more visible.

CanisterCrafts is an independent contemporary art studio based in Bucharest, Romania.

Every artwork is made by Tiberiu, combining simple geometric structures with an interest in repetition, texture, material and emotional balance. The studio’s practice moves between abstract composition, sculptural relief and architectural object design.

The work is created by hand rather than through industrial production. Small irregularities are preserved as evidence of the process and of the material itself.
