The sign features the Registered Trademark (登録商標) inscription above the classic Asahi rising sun with wings emblem. The large red “味” (Aji / Taste) character is accompanied by the phonetic reading “アヂ”, an old Japanese orthography historically used before modern spelling reforms. The lower section reads “純調味品料”, indicating a pure seasoning product.

The traditional typography, porcelain enamel finish, and iconic rising sun logo make this an excellent example of Japanese food industry advertising from the mid-20th century.

Based on the design, enamel construction, and pre-war/post-war orthography (“アヂ”), this sign is estimated to date from approximately the 1950s–1960s. The exact production year cannot be confirmed from the sign alone.
