青銅製の亀の形をした美しい噴水口が対になっています。殻を細部まで精緻に鋳造し、頭部・四肢・尾を自然な形で彫刻しています。

それぞれの亀は頭をやや上げたデザインで、水は鼻先の小さな開口部から噴き出します。尾は緩やかに弓なり。甲羅の裏面には水道へ接続する開口部が設けられており、一方は長い筒状の入口、もう一方は円形の開口で、元来は装飾的な噴水口としての機能を示していました。

銅は魅力的な均一な緑青を帯び、甲羅と肌の細密な浮き彫りを一層引き立てています。
