モルダヴィット（チェコ語: Vltavín）は、南ドイツのノルトリンガー・リースでの隕石衝突によって生じた、オリーブグリーンまたはマットグリーンのガラス質物質で、いわばテクティットの一種と見なされます。1786年にプラハ大学のヨーゼフ・マイヤー教授がボヘミア科学協会の会合で「チリソリテ（Chrysolithe）」として学術界に初めて紹介しました（Mayer 1788）。ジッペ（1836）は初めて「モルダヴィット」という語を用い、その語は Moldauthein（チェコ語: Týn nad Vltavou）という町に由来します。現在はボヘミア（チェコ共和国）の地で、初期に記載された標本の産地です。
