ビザンツ期銅製スタンプ印章（ビザンツ文化、紀元後6世紀から9世紀）
円形の印章部を備えた小型の銅製スタンプ印章で、機能的にまとまった本体が、携帯や着用を可能にする貫通した吊環へとつながっています。印章は暗色のパティーナや地層状の堆積物、経年による摩耗を強く示す考古学的な表面を良好に保存しています。一方、裏面には元の刻印デザインの痕跡が残っていますが、時間と使用によってやや柔らかくなっています。 このタイプのビザンツ期スタンプ印章は、所有権の表示、商品の真偽認証、あるいは個人または行政の象徴を蝋、粘土、その他の軟質材料に押印するために用いられてきました。その小型さと実用的な設計、そして保存された吊環の形状は、ビザンツ時代の個人用または商業用の封印設備の魅力的な例となっています。
