正真正銘のテラ・シギリタ製ローマ式油燈で、前面に飾りとしての騎兵（騎乗者）モチーフが施されています。丁寧に浮き彫りされたレリーフには騎乗した騎兵が描かれており、ローマ微細陶器の美しい例です。
油燈はローマ帝国時代の最も重要な照明器具のひとつで、私的空間でも儀式的な場でも使用されました。神話・軍事・狩猟を題材とした浮彫装飾は特に人気があり、この個体にも特別なコレクター価値を与えています。
この油燈はテラ・シギリタ特有の繊細に加工された表面を持ち、赤みがかった赤褐色の色調です。燃焼ノズルおよび注ぎ口は非常によく保存されています。
