An atmospheric, rare, and quality wall object composed of approximately 50 original, historical printing blocks (clichés). Made of copper, brass, and lead mounted on a wooden panel. These blocks were crafted and used by artisan printers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries (c. 1890–1950) to produce Catholic prayer and memorial cards (bidprentjes).
Aesthetics & Iconography
This composition creates a captivating play of textures and metallic tones. The rich, aged patina of warm copper, brass, and dark metals contrasts dramatically against the dark wood back panel.
