Large Roman horse harness fitting in pierced pelte form from Carnuntum, bronze with two back rivets, measuring 60 × 45 × 7 mm and dating to the 2nd century AD, in excellent condition and officially authentic, acquired in 2025 from a German auction house with a former Privatsammlung provenance and an old collection label, with no shipping outside the EU.

ペルテは、伝説のアマゾンと結びつけられた小さな盾でした。こうした装飾具は、胸帯や馬具の鞍帯の革紐につけられていました。装飾品としての機能がある一方で、アポトロペ的（邪気払いの）機能を持ち、馬と騎手を守ると信じられていました。リメージュ近辺でよく見つかり、軍事的文脈に属します。
この品が見つかったカルトヌントゥム（現オーストリア・ニーダーエストライヒ州）では、Legio XV Apollinaris、後に XIV Gemnia が駐留していました。おそらくこの軍事的文脈に由来する品です。
一角が欠けていますが、他は概ね完品で、旧いコイン室 Funk、Neukeferloh のラベル付き。
2025年にドイツの美術市場で購入され、それ以前は2016年からF. B.（バイエルン）の私的コレクションに所属していました。
