画像はキプロスのアヤ・ナパ、ケープ・グレコで午前3時に長時間露光で撮影されました。撮影地点は欧州連合の最南端であり、ここで初日の出を体験できます。伝説によれば、ここはアフロディーテの聖なる丘でもあります。

作家について

エレナ・パラスケヴァの作品は、機関・企業のコレクションに収蔵されています。スウェーデン公共美術部（Västra Götaland Government）、ボストン病院（USA）／「Children’s Cancer Wing」エントランスにある500cm規模の大型インスタレーション、オーストラリア国立大学、タラサ博物館、Affinity（Serif）など、他の機関・企業コレクションにも所蔵されています。

彼女の作品はブリュッセルの欧州議会での展示をはじめ、ニューヨーク、パリ、東京、ロンドン、ドバイ、サンパウロ（ブラジル）、ウィーン、バルセロナ、ミュンヘン、クアラルンプール、フィレンツェ、フランクフルト、マラガ、リンツ、グラーツ、シエナなどの主要なビエンナーレ・ギャラリーで展示されています。2026年、 Magnumフォトグラファーのアレック・ソスは、彼女の作品をギリシャ文化省の名の下、ギリシャでの展覧会に個人的に選出しました。

彼女は4つの国際的写真協会から、2024年・2023年・2021年・2018年の「International Photographer of the Year（国際写真家 of the Year）」に選出されています。

また、ハッセルブラッド・マスターズ、World Masters of Photography、LensCulture、Aesthetica、Prix de La Photographie Paris、International Photography Awards（IPA）、Neutral Density Awards など、世界的な賞の受賞・評価を受けています。

2021年以降はFLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTSの審査員を務め、毎年複数の国際写真コンクールの審査を行っています。かつてはAdobeの講師・アンバサダーも務めました。
