Black Stile N73 is an exploration of absolute black as a living surface. Built entirely through texture, relief, and subtle changes in finish, the work reveals itself gradually as light moves across it. What first appears as a silent monochrome transforms into a landscape of depth, rhythm, and hidden movement.

The upper section contains broad circular gestures that emerge almost imperceptibly from the darkness, while the lower half develops a denser, mineral-like texture that grounds the composition. Rather than representing an object, the painting invites contemplation, allowing each viewer to discover their own interpretation.

Although entirely black, the artwork is never visually static. The slight tonal variations visible in some photographs are not white paint, but the natural reflection of the protective varnish interacting with ambient light. Depending on the viewing angle and the time of day, the surface alternates between a deep matte presence and subtle satin reflections, continuously revealing new details.

Natural daylight and artificial illumination transform the appearance of the piece throughout the day, making it a work that constantly evolves with its surroundings.

Black Stile N73 es una exploración del negro absoluto entendido como una superficie viva. Construida exclusivamente mediante texturas, relieves y sutiles variaciones de acabado, la obra se revela lentamente a medida que la luz recorre su superficie. Lo que inicialmente parece un monocromo silencioso se transforma en un paisaje de profundidad, ritmo y movimiento oculto.

La parte superior concentra amplios gestos circulares que emergen discretamente desde la oscuridad, mientras que la mitad inferior desarrolla una textura más densa y mineral que aporta equilibrio y solidez a la composición. No representa una forma concreta; invita a la contemplación y permite que cada observador construya su propia lectura.

Aunque la obra es completamente negra, nunca permanece visualmente inmóvil. Las ligeras irisaciones que pueden apreciarse en algunas fotografías no corresponden a pintura blanca, sino al reflejo natural del barniz protector al refractar la luz. Según el ángulo de observación y la iluminación, la superficie alterna entre una presencia profundamente mate y reflejos satinados que revelan continuamente nuevos matices.

La luz natural y la iluminación artificial transforman su apariencia a lo largo del día, convirtiéndola en una obra que cambia constantemente con el espacio que la rodea.
