Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date with a 41 mm stainless steel case, green dial, stainless steel bracelet, automatic movement Calibro MB 24.17, year 2022, in very good condition with minimal signs of wear.
Description from the seller
here is a piece of great prestige and charm: a Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date in the highly sought-after emerald green color. A timepiece that merges high-end sport watchmaking with a hypnotic naturalistic design.
This watch is Montblanc's first professional diver certified (ISO 6425), but it is famous mainly for its revolutionary dial. The manufacture managed to recreate the three-dimensional texture, the grain and the depth of glacial ice (inspired by the Mer de Glace in Mont Blanc) through a complex and ancient artisanal technique called gratté-boisé. The deep emerald green color captures the light, evoking the reflections of alpine lakes surrounded by glaciers.
Technically, the setup is impeccable. The 41 mm stainless steel case is topped by a unidirectional ceramic green bezel, glossy and scratch-resistant. The watch is water-resistant up to 30 ATM (300 meters) and the solid case back features a magnificent 3D laser-engraved depiction of a diver and an iceberg. Indices and hands are generously filled with Super-LumiNova for perfect legibility in the dark, as shown in the photos. The heart is the automatic movement Calibre MB 24.17.
The condition is to be regarded as excellent overall (excellent). The watch has been preserved with extreme care. The sapphire crystal and the ceramic bezel insert are immaculate, without any marks. The stainless steel case is bright and robust. On the bracelet and, in particular, on the deployant clasp, there are only very rare, negligible and nearly imperceptible micro-scratches (hairlines) on the surface due to careful handling of the object, which do not affect its beauty. The engraved case back is also perfectly crisp.
