5 ラティ銀貨は、戦間期のレトニア共和国を代表する最も象徴的な発行のひとつと見なされています。表面には、国の象徴として広く知られる女神的な肖像画「ミルダ」と呼ばれる女性像が、右向きの横顔で編んだ髪と伝統的な頭飾りを付け、星の装飾を施して、卓越した芸術性と優雅さを示すデザインで描かれています。裏面には、レトニアの国章をライオンとドラゴンの抱える紋章が描かれ、国の歴史的地域を象徴する三つの星とともに、5 LATI の表記と発行年が配されています。標本は浮き彫りが完全かつはっきりしており、穏やかな銀の薄錬によって見える元々の輝きを多く保っています。地と金属の接触痕が軽く見られ、流通なしの状態を示す MS62 に対応した優れた視覚的印象を維持しています。このコインはバルト海地域の数少ない巨象の一つであり、第二次世界大戦以前のレトニア独立の重要な証言を表しています。
