.Up for sale is an extremely rare and historically significant propaganda issue from World War II issued for the Flemish Volunteers of the Waffen SS Legion fighting on the Eastern Front. This is the highly specialized commemorative issue for the 1943 Aviation and Post exhibition in Brussels. The complete set consists of 4 miniature sheets each featuring the official black airplane overprint applied on the fourth stamp. It is strictly listed in the German Michel catalogue under WWII Private Issues and Feldpost as numbers V, VI, VII, and VIII.
The colors of the overprints are green, red, blue and orange. About 920 miniature sheets or 3680 sets were overprinted.

Condition Report

The complete set of 4 miniature sheets is in Mint Lightly Hinged MLH condition. Each sheet retains its original gum on the reverse side with only a clean, light, and faint historic hinge mark on the margins. The paper structure remains perfectly healthy with no hidden thin spots. The front designs display exceptionally fresh, bright, and unfaded original colors with the black airplane overprints sharp and clearly defined.
