西周と漢王朝の間、約紀元前1千年紀に作られた驚くべき古代中国のビーズのお守り。装飾は貴重で極めて希少なターコイズ石から彫られています。中国の十二支の十二番目の動物である豚を描いており、富と繁栄、子宝の象徴として、8,000年以上にわたり家庭の繁栄を意味し、農業と儀式の中心的地位を占めてきました。動物は解剖学的特徴が見事に再現され、吊るすための穴が開いた完璧な胴体を持っています。元々保存されていた錆びや土の沈着の痕跡を取り除くことなく、表面の美しい青緑色を際立たせるための専門的な清浄処理が施され、博物館で展示される前に行われました。*
