巨大なシャーチャルドンサウルスの歯。Carcharodontosaurusは、 known または known? の中で最も大きな肉食竜の一つで、タイプ種は長さ約12〜12.5メートル、体重およそ5〜7トンと推定される。頭部は幅広く軽量で、吻部は三角形だった。顎には鋭く、湾曲し、鋸歯状の歯が並び、大型のホホジロサメ（Carcharodon carcharias）の歯と著しく似ており、種名の由来にもなっている。

Énorme dent de charcharodontosaure. Le carcharodontosaure est l'un des plus grands dinosaures théropodes connus, l'espèce type atteignant une longueur estimée de 12 à 12,5 mètres pour une masse corporelle d'environ 5 à 7 tonnes. Son crâne était large et léger, avec un rostre triangulaire. Ses mâchoires étaient munies de dents acérées, courbées et dentelées, présentant des similitudes frappantes avec celles du grand requin blanc (Carcharodon carcharias), qui a inspiré le nom du genre.
