ベルリンでヴィルヘルムII在位下に鋳造された2マルク銀貨。皇帝の胸像は右向きのリアリズムと端正さを備え、20世紀初頭のドイツ帝政期の博物的通貨美を特徴とします。裏面には冠を戴く帝国の鷲が中央に置かれ、周囲に法典と額面が配された、視覚的な存在感を強く放つ紋章風のデザインです。本品は美しい銀色調を保ち、軽い灰色のパティナと、特に文言周辺に元の艶の痕跡が見られます。浮き彫りはよく彫り出され、肖像の細部と帝国の鷲の羽根には優れたディテールが残っています。
