A fine group of large tropical marine shells belonging to the Melo genus (family Volutidae), including the Melo melo (Indian Bailer Shell) with its striking zig-zag pattern, the elongated Melo amphora distinguished by its smooth, amphora-shaped form, and the rounded Melo diadema featuring warm orange tones and bold brown markings.

These impressive species are found in the sandy shallows of the Indo-Pacific, particularly around Thailand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and northern Australia. Melo shells are renowned for their elegant shapes, glossy interiors and the rare occurrence of natural "Melo pearls."

This lot presents a harmonious trio illustrating the natural variation within the genus — from patterned to plain, from elongated to rounded — together with four smaller companion volutes. Beautifully preserved examples, displaying rich coloration and fine surface gloss, ideal for display or conchological study.
