Elena Paraskeva - Failure To Connect-2015 - XL

受賞/公開/展示された作品 - 私のスタジオで撮影された100%フォトグラフィックアート（小道具はすべて本物）。私はフォトショップやAIを使わずにシュールレアリズムを創作することを信条とする概念アーティストです。

“Failure To Connect”は“The Lost Swimmer”に先行するシリーズです。自己喪失、方向性の喪失、そして自らの内なる世界の見えない境界の中に閉じ込められる感覚を探ります（彼女自身の存在は水槽の魚と鏡のように反映します）。再び迷子となった泳ぎ手は、求める水と彼女が切望するつながりに手を伸ばそうとしますが、そのジェスチャーは未完成で、乗り越えるよりもむしろ分離と距離を露わにします。

作家について

Elena Paraskevaの作品は、 institutional かつ corporate のコレクションに所蔵されています。スウェーデン公共美術部門（ Västra Götaland Government）、米国ボストン病院（児童がんウィングの入口に大型500cmの作品を設置）、Australian National University、Thalassa Museum、Affinity（Serif）、ほか多数。

2021年以降、Elena Paraskevaは FLORIDA MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTS の審査員を務め、東京国立写真美術館・Fotografiska Museumのキュレーターなどと共に審査を行っています。

彼女の作品は、ブリュッセルの欧州議会をはじめ、NYC・パリ・東京・ロンドン・ドバイ・サンパウロ（ブラジル）・ウィーン・バルセロナ・ミュンヘン・クアラルンプール・フィレンツェ・フランクフルト・マラガ・リンツ・グラーツ・シエナなどの主要なビエンナーレやギャラリーで展示されています。
2026年には Magnum のフォトグラファー Alec Soth が、ギリシャ文化省の後援の下、ギリシャでの個展として彼女の作品を個人的に選出しました。

彼女は4つの国際的な写真協会から International Photographer of the Year（2024/2023/2021/2018）に選出され、Hasselblad Masters、World Masters of Photography、LensCulture、Aesthetica、Prix de la Photographie Paris、International Photography Awards（IPA）、Neutral Density Awards など多くの国際的な賞を受賞しています。
また元Adobeの講師・アンバサダーでもあります。

彼女の写真は Smithsonian Magazine、The Guardian（英国・豪州）、The Times、Vogue.it、Aesthetica、LensCulture、PDN、Photography Masterclass など、さまざまな国際メディアに掲載されています。
