Description
Impressive baluster-form lidded jar of classic "General’s helmet" shape, with high domed cover topped by a smooth finial, broad shoulder tapering elegantly to a flared foot. The body and cover are finished in an off-white crackled glaze, framed by dark simulated-bronze bands at neck, shoulder and foot. Elaborate famille rose decoration features scrolling floral borders encircling large shaped reserves, each painted with a vivid paradise flycatcher perched amid blossoming peony branches with fluttering insects — finely detailed in soft rose, emerald green, iron-red and aubergine, embodying the auspicious theme of prosperity and spring.

Condition
Perfect and intact overall; bears only faint surface wear consistent with age and careful handling — no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration.
