Description from the seller
細密に鋳造・打鍛えられたササン朝の青銅製ボウルで、底部が丸みを帯びた半球形を特徴とする。内側には底へ向かって刻まれた同心円と、縁のすぐ下にもう一つの環状帯が装飾されている。片側には斜線を組み合わせて形作られた鳥の意匠がある。外表面は無装飾のままである。表面には錆色化（緑青を含む）や地質的な覆着、擦傷といった使用痕が見られる。底部に小さな孔がある。
ササン朝はアケメネス朝ペルシャに継承された王朝で、全盛期にはユーフラテス川からインダス川まで領域を広げ、現代のアルメニアおよびジョージアを含んだ帝国を築いた。ササン朝美術は近東およびヘレニズム・ローマの伝統から影響を受け、これら文化の象徴性の意味を地域の表現法に適合させた。
寸法: 約 幅17.7cm x 高さ5.5cm
来歴: 1980年-2015年に取得。Abelita家コレクションより。
