DESCRIPTION:
このコロンビア産マンゴークォーツの特徴は、驚異的な黄色の termination（終端部）にあり、色が最も強く飽和するのは頂点で、その後結晶の下部へと徐々に溶けるように広がっていく様子だ。効果はほとんど溶融しているかのようで、金色の濃厚な層が終端部に沈着し、その後穏やかに下方へ拡散していくように見える。残るプリズムの極めて透明な部分に対して、この強い黄色のキャップは即座に支配的となり、標本に非常に清潔で認識しやすい視覚アイデンティティを与える。

結晶自体は非常に長く優雅で、22.5 mmの高さを測る細長いプリズマティック構造を通じて立ち上がる。その胴体は極めて透明で、光が広い領域をほとんど妨げられずに通過し、複数の方位から結晶内部の構造を露わにする。色のほとんどない下部本体と飽和した黄色の上部の対比は特に洗練されており、結晶の透明さから濃密な色へと強い垂直方向の変化を生み出している。
