Natural Blue Spinel from Vietnam – 1.92 ct – No Heat / No Treatment – Lotus Gemology Gold Report
An attractive and increasingly rare natural blue spinel from Vietnam, weighing 1.92 ct and accompanied by a Lotus Gemology Gold Report.
Lotus Gemology confirms the Vietnamese origin and describes the gemstone as transparent with a blue colour, Rich saturation and a Medium-Deep tone.
Most importantly, the laboratory found NO indications of heating or treatment.
Vietnamese spinels are particularly interesting to collectors due to their distinctive origin and limited availability. The Lotus report also notes that important ruby, sapphire and spinel deposits were discovered in northern Vietnam in the late 1980s and that these deposits are now almost exhausted.
