FAMILIAR STRANGERS
​A paradox of intimacy and distance. Four figures stand aligned against a calm, pale blue horizon, bound by proximity yet separated by their internal worlds. Their crowns and jagged crests rise in striking contrast—yellow, red, and black marks of authority worn by spirits who share space, but not thoughts. One figure cries tears of electric blue under a massive golden crown; another radiates a field of red dotted signals above a chest locked like a screen; a third stares out through red-haloed, mismatched eyes with a fierce yellow grin; while the fourth stands crowned in black, its face split by a harsh red mask. Together, they form a gathering of souls who know each other completely, yet remain forever unknowable.

​The cool, light-blue field creates an airy, weightless atmosphere, cut through by scribbled white marks, yellow grids, and loose chalk lines that drift between the bodies like broken bridges. Signals are sent, but never fully received. Nothing is entirely distant. Nothing is entirely close.
