Antique Japanese wooden lacquered tea-ceremony water container from the late Meiji period (c. 1850–1900), black exterior with gold relief fan motifs and red vermilion lacquer interior, fixed shaped handle and split lid, dimensions 16 × 23 × 17 cm, weight 450 g, from a private collection, in good used condition with age-related signs including craquelure and a crack on the base.
