A substantial vintage writing desk box crafted from solid hardwood, combining a sloping writing surface with internal document storage and a separate hinged upper compartment for pens and writing instruments. The strongly figured grain, warm surface tone and brass fittings give the piece a distinctive character suited to collectors of traditional desk accessories and functional decorative objects.

Preserved vintage condition with an established surface patina and age-related traces that enhance the character of the wood. A localized area of wear is present around the hinge section of the upper pen-compartment lid, while the compartment remains fully usable. Hinges and moving sections operate as intended.
