Max Sauze – レアなスペースエイジ彫刻風アルミニウムペンダントランプ – フランス、1960年代
1960年代後半のスペースエイジ運動の頂点期にフランスでデザインされた、Max Sauze製のこの吊り灯は、フランスの建築照明デザインの典型例です。Studio Max Sauze(Ligne Sauze)によって製作されたこれらの作品は、単なる機能的な照明器具ではなく、ダイナミックな照明彫刻として構想されました。
ランプは、鉄線フレームを軸に、曲線のBrushedアルミニウム板を4段階に連なる滴状に配置する構造になっています。全体は、見える継ぎ目なしの工夫を凝らした嵌合組立システムで作られており、鋼のワイヤーフレームとアルミ板の曲率が同時に光の反射板と防眩板として機能し、段階的な幾何学的ギャップを通して照明を拡散させ、光と影の魅惑的なパターンを描き出します。
