北アフリカ origin の美しい伝統的カトラスで、おそらくサハラ地域またはトゥアレグの職人技によるもの。
武器は長く直線的で幅広い刃を持ち、両面にはポインソンで施された幾何学模様が飾られており、特に小さな半月形が整列して波状の列を成している。
柄は特に装飾的で、黒革で全面覆われ、幾何学模様、ロゼット、同心円が刻まれている。末端は環状の鍔で終わる、サハラと北アフリカの伝統武器に特徴的な形状。
寸法：
・全長: 57.5 cm
・刃の最大幅: 4.5 cm
・重量: 363 g
刃には深い古色があり、酸化の痕跡と使用痕が写真で確認できる。柄の革も、古い職人の品らしい不規則さと時の痕跡を残している。
現状のまま、鞘は付属しません。
美しい民族学的・装飾的な一品で、伝統的武器、アフリカ美術、またはサハラの諸物品に興味を持つコレクションには特に価値がある。
