紀元前約200年頃の、21点の古代スキタイ bronze 矢じりセット。
スキタイは騎射の達人であり、彼らの矢は古代世界に恐怖を与える重要な武器でした。これらの矢の一つ一つは手作りの鋳造であり、中国からドナウ川流域にまで影響を及ぼす偉大な遊牧文明の印を刻んでいます。 このコレクションは単なる artefacts の集まり以上に、スキタイの「黄金時代」となる軍事史と技術伝統を映し出すタイムカプセルです。
各矢じりは丸いソケットが突起し、刃部と合わさって鋭い先端を形成しています。ソケットは矢の木製シャフトを固定するためのものでした。いくつかの矢じりには鋸状の歯がついています。年齢とともに生じた欠けや擦り傷、刃やソケットのエッジの傷など、使用の痕跡が見られます。
